24 Feb Getting the Most Out of FLEX
We believe in the FLEX56 Method. We have seen the incredible results clients get and know it is a proven way to meet your health and fitness goals. We also know that it can be easy to show up, do what the instructor says and then leave, without really thinking about what you are doing. We want each and every one of our clients to get the most they can out of FLEX each and every time they are at the studio.
Be present during your workout
FLEX is one hour of your day that is just for you. Time to treat your body and mind right, to do something good for yourself. So leave the happenings of your day behind when you enter the studio. Focus on you and what you want to get out of your workout. Do your best to table your to-do list and stresses of every day and put that energy into your workout. You won’t regret it.
Ask your instructor questions
FLEXcity Fitness instructors are well-versed in exercise, fitness and most importantly, FLEX. If you have questions about your form, your goals, really anything related to health and fitness– ask away! There’s no such thing as a silly question. Most importantly, if you have questions about proper form and alignment, come early or stay a few minutes after class to ask your instructor to explain. Good form is always our first priority.
We talk a lot about goal setting inside and outside of class for a reason- we know it works. If you truly want to make a change, to lose weight or just run faster, set a goal. Once that goal is set do everything you can to achieve it. Maybe you start every class at a 5.5 jogging pace, why not aim a little higher? Set a goal for maintaining a 6.0 and push yourself to get there. Small, achievable goals are a great way to work outside of your comfort zone.
