This edition of FLEX Spotlight features Lansing FLEXcitizen, Jon. After first coming to FLEX a year ago, Jon has seen improvements both physically and mentally. We are so proud of his hard work– way to go Jon!
How did you hear about FLEX?
My wife Amy tried a class and was hooked, she had been going for months and finally convinced me to try a class with her.
What changes have you experienced since coming to FLEX?
So far I’ve lost over 40 pounds and 4 inches off my waist size. I’m stronger, more flexible and have more energy than I’ve ever had. Beyond just the physical changes I’ve experienced, I’m more confident in myself and always find I’m more ready to get things done during the day when I get up and push myself at 6 a.m. You can’t help but feel good when you start your day by challenging yourself.
What is your favorite workout at FLEX?
I love all the things we can do with kettlebells, Jenny’s signature set of arm raises and circles is a great finish to a workout and nothing burns quite like the barre.
How many classes do you take each week and how long have you been coming to FLEX?
My wife and I usually come 6 times a week, I’ve been coming for a little over a year and just hit my 100th class.
Why would you tell someone to come to FLEX?
Everyone wants to see results, and those only come with consistent hard work. FLEX isn’t a boot camp, and the instructors aren’t drill sergeants. They get the best out of you by pushing you to push yourself, and they do it well. You get what you put into these classes, and if you come and work hard for 56 minutes you can’t help but see results.
