11 Aug Getting Over The Guilt
We all have responsibilities. Kids, jobs, marriages, homes, pets, the list goes on and on. It’s easy to see why taking care of ourselves can easily get pushed to the end of our never ending “to-do” list. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
We believe that in order to be the best version of yourself you have to take care of yourself. To be the best parent, spouse, co-worker or boss prioritizing your health is a must. If you don’t feel good in your own skin, how will anything else in your life be the best it can be?
With a million different things pulling us one direction or the next, the urge to make fitness and a healthy diet low on your list of priorities is so easy. There is temptation every day to skip workouts, eat less-than-stellar meals all for the sake of being able to accomplish more, be more, do more. We’re here to tell you that putting yourself first is okay, and actually its necessary.
If you are feeling like the best version of yourself, everything else in your life generally follows suit. Why make you the last thing you take care of when really it should be the first? So shake off the guilt for taking an hour for yourself each day to get to the studio, or the extra time preparing a healthy meal— you are investing in your current and future self, what could be better than that?
